It is possibly increasing the chance of them staying and nesting in the spring. Putting up in autumn is an excellent practice to maintain as a well-designed nest box will only need cleaning once per year. A decorative and functional nesting box designed to suit a Tree Creeper. The tapered design features side entrances to emulate the nests that tree creepers establish in tree bark voids.
The nest box is handmade in our Gloucestershire workshops from solid FSC-certified timber and has a silver birch frontispiece. Cleaning is via the hinged roof, which sheds water away from the box.
Site the treecreeper box ideally on a mature tree in a secluded location. The box should face between north and southeast and be between 1.5 and 3m off the ground.
